This morning I woke up and decided to give Sonic his early morning kisses. Again, he decided that he didn't like the way I set up his cage. He moved his igloo across the cage and flipped it around, stuffed his water and food bowl into the the igloo and RIGHT in the middle on top of the igloo was a huge POOP. He was asleep right across the cage in the corner with a tube on his head.

*Sigh* I think I should call him tornado. What do you think? :p

Nancy, sadly, he doesn't have one yet. I working on that though :) I'd be interested to know what he's do with it too...

I was told that he doesn't use wheels...probably because he never had one!

Question: How loud is the flying saucer? And does anyone know about how much shipping is for CSW?

I bet he will use one. If he had one before, perhaps he had a really crappy model or one that was too small for him. Or it wasn't left in his cage long enough for him to discover how to use it.

Hedgehogs that do not have wheels need a lot of out of cage time to run off that excess energy.

PM LarryT on here for shipping costs.

Ah! I just ordered him a wheel :) I am SO excited! I got the Caroline Stormy Bucket wheel :) :) I am beyond excited!

I also just read (On facebook, sadly) That Sonic is actually 2 1/2 years old, not 1 1/2 like I thought :\ Is there anything I really need to look for like old age and such?

Don't worry if he doesn't jump on the wheel right away. Some need to get used to its smell and figure out that it is theirs before they'll touch it. I find it helps to lift them onto the wheel once or twice in the evening (ideally once they are already up). Next thing you know you'll wake up to a brown smelly wheel - greatest feeling in the world!! Seriously!
