Oh...I almost forgot.

It said on the inspection after we moved out of our last house that there was excessive rodent damage in the basement. Luckily everyone knew why. :) There was paneling down there and they chewed the dickens out of it from the floor to about maybe 8 inches up the paneling. Evil little chins. And, I just let them do it because it was just such a perfect area for them to run around for playtime.

So far, my chins have chewed/destroyed:

Nearly all of the floor and door frame moldings in my bathroom and main room, including spots very high up on the door frame. They learned to climb out on the towel rack and chew from there!
Similar molding on my windowsill.
The cabinets in the bathroom.
Venetian blinds, and the cords that hang from them.
Labels on various items I forgot to hide.
Any and all paper on my desk that neglect to hide, including bills, business cards, checks, and RESUMES >:0
One phone charger cord (girlfriend was not happy)
One conducting baton (girlfriend was even less happy)
One power cable to a computer monitor (lesson learned in chin-proofing, and incredible luck that I didn't end up with fried chin)
A leather belt.
Tags on various clothing I've left lying around.
Shoe laces/aglets.
Softer parts of a weigh-lifting bench.
Several pens.
Buttons on several remote controls.
A rather cherished song book. :(

...and who knows what else I haven't discovered yet?

They have chewed: my computer desk-the top and bottom of it, the natural wood door in the chin room and the natural wood baseboards, the curtains in the chin room, part of the throw rug in their room, pictures, and ready for the best one yet: MY TAXES! Explain that to the IRS "sorry, my chins ate my taxes!"LOL

Ha , I thought my chinnies were weird in what they chewed, now I know I they are of the norm.
My purse(one of a kind silk)
all zip ties
bungie cords(great for quick cage fixes)
daughter library book(librian was a chin owner and understood)
numous text books
My favorite shirt
my glasses
So far thats all I can think of

Lets see:

My jacket has nibble holes in it
A trash can has chunks taken out of it since it was too close to the cage
A fleece house that was chewed through

My apartment baseboards!!!! And any wall edge and door molding she can get her teeth on. *sigh* I'm going to have to find a way to repair them when I move out.

Otherwise, so far I've been pretty lucky. We keep everything out of her reach now.

Oh my, I'm not letting my parents see this thread - they'll never look after my boys for our next summer holiday if I do!!!

Let me think:
Baseboards
Half of my books (she used to jump up into my bookcase on top of the books and just work her way along chewing up the tops of books)
Several of my shirts now have little holes in them
Phone charger cord
Computer charger cord

Actually pretty much any cord, which terrifies me, and that's why all my cords now either have these weird plastic protectors or are wrapped in duct tape.

Honestly, they are so brazen! I'll sit in the room with her on my computer and she'll jump up and hold the cord in little paws. I tell her not to, and she just looks at me, and does it anyway.

Other than the baseboards and my flip flops

There was this....:hair:

She can't really get at anything from her cage or in her play area. However, she attacks lava bites like she has a personal vendetta to destroy every last one of them. I'm sure it's just because they're one of her favorite chews but it's just so funny to watch her go nuts when she gets one, I've had one chewed down in about 15 minutes.

Lets see - my walls in 3 rooms plus baseboard in 4 rooms/pencils/curtains/picture frames/several cabinets and each other. I am sure there is more but can't think of it right now

Shoes
Belts
the floor boards of a newly finished wood floor!
molding
paint off the wall
plants (thankfully they are not dead and now we do not keep plants)
Textbooks
novels
multiple sheets of homework and study guides (no one believes me when I say my chinchilla ate my homework)
Phone charger cords

and of course...their own poop

Also, when someone was supposed to be watching them...My cardboard trapper keeper with multiple sections of EXTREMELY important papers like tax stuff...

that was fun

my wall near his cages is littered with bite marks, (but for an odd reason only on the top part), the sill of my window, Part of the closet shelf, My bed supports, The bathroom door and moldings, part of the cabinets in there, atleast one whole roll of toilet paper, three books, and plenty of cash along with all the wood we get for him. In one month he went through two and a half pounds!

Let's see... The molding around a window sill from top to bottom, baseboards in the bathroom and bedroom, computer networking cables, books, greeting cards, pens/pencils, my laptop, paper, and the cage.. lol

my trapper keeper...
homework (but he shreds things for me if i dont want them anymore)
my social life

and luckily thats about it. he picks up cords, sniffs them, then carries on. i think he knows im watching lol
