I found some sweet-potato treats for my chinchilla, and was wondering if they are ok to give him. I checked- all they are is sweet potato. No extra added ingredients, and I cut them down to size so they are no bigger then my fingernail. Is this ok for him?

Nope. Chins shouldn't have any fruits or vegetables of any kind. Stick with high quality pellets, hay and sticks as a base diet. Other acceptable treats are a pinch of oats, dried rosehips or half a cube of shredded wheat. If you run a search at the top for treats, you'll find a bunch of other threads addressing the same issue.
