I could never just give them away. I'll end up keeping them. I'm going to have to go on a shopping trip for more cages, bowls, and wheels once it's time to separate them from their momma.

I'd never be able to be a breeder. Once I have an animal in my home I become too attached to give them away.

I get attached to my hedgies too. But it gets easier. Especially when I see a family very excited about their new pet. As long as I know that my babies are going to great homes, I can handle it.

Now that my hoglets have just passed their three week old birthday, I've started holding them for a few seconds each night. I can't believe that at this age they will already self-annoint. Here is a photo I snapped today of one of them doing just that.

It's hard to believe that my babies have reached their six week birthday. I've been working today putting together new cages and moving them into my warm animal room so that the babies can be separated soon.
