Oh come on Megan. You loved helping us first timers with grooming. You had this look :hair:
Don't worry Jessica..........we'll help you carry the chins to the car to lighten your load. ;)

Just a note: Am I the only one not seeing some peoples posts?? ChinsNdobermans and Ash are not visible to me.........hmmmm

Dee - when was the last time you came through State College? They've opened up most of the roads here to be two lanes each way now - although I don't know about North of I-80.

Go for it Tiff! I'd take peanut butter fudge, but I ended up bringing almost the full pan home in '08. I'll have to find something else for lunch.

Mish, I've never gone through the State College way. I've always gone through Williamsport. We almost went the other way last year but didn't want to take the chance with my car not running the best at that time - now that we have the new one I'm willing to go a little more out of the way.

Is there any information on this show? i saw the date but is there an actual flyer or website?? I have never been to one and would really like to see what happens. Really interested in learning more and getting to see all the gorgeous chins!

Um, the only information would be on the MCBA website under "Upcoming Shows". Or just ask us your questions :)

Thanks, that was what i was looking for. So the "york" show is the one that is listed as being in "dover" PA?? and that tab is currently not highted, so i am sure they will update it when they have more info.

It's a fun time had by all ;) I can't wait! Getting the babies' dust paid for tonight so I can start prepping them.

Looks like I was voted to teach people on grooming again :) So if anyone would like to sit with me, and learn how to groom--look for the short person LOL.

Please be warned--I am NOT a morning person, and HORRIBLE at explaining(i'm better at SHOWING people something, and letting them learn off that vs explaining). but i'm willing to help anyone needed. I'm only showing a few critters, so will have lots of time to help anyone who needs it.

If you aren't showing, but would like to learn how to groom--thats fine too, bring an animal. If you have your own combs, that would be a HUGE help as I think last year we only had 2-3 sets, and several people trying to groom.

WHAT TO BRING
Combs: Atleast a 3 and 1. This is what I use to groom, you can also bring a 4 and 2...but I normally stick to a 3 and 1.

Lint roller or piece of rubber tubing to remove loose fur

scissors: To clip the tail

Haha Megan. Don't lie. You're always so bright and chipper! I will try to be there about 7:30, but I'll have to see if I can drag Keith out of bed by 6:30... Or myself, for that matter...

Yeah, I'm hoping to get there when doors open....but that means getting up at 4am to get everyone ready and leave before 5...We'll see if that happens. Every year I say that, and somehow I end up late..or I make a wrong turn(same spot, every freaking year!).

Yes the MCBA site does not get updated until the people doing the show send Jeri the information to put on the website.

what, you mean Jeri doesn't read minds??? Come on randy, tell her lets get with the program! Use those physic powers....She's a mom afterall--they know everything!

I think I'm definitely going to teach my husband how to groom and get him a set of combs before the show. Last year I had 10 animals, I was doing them all by myself and my arm got tired! He could at least groom his own animals.

:)

I've got an extra comb I'll be bringing that y'all can use for the "training". I'll probably end up selling it there though. I don't like the balance of it as much as my others. I believe it's a #2 size.

Tired after 10??? Try doing 40 in about 3-3.5 hours for a full string in a ECBC show. I would love to just show 10 or so again.
