You would REALLY hope that this person is just a troll, but they didn't word it that way. I was just stunned when I read this. And, once again, people who don't have a clue answer. "She's doing it because females are territorial."

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100315225959AAICfy9

You can't even rip into them like you want to because it will just get deleted. The mods there don't care about the content of the question or the answer, only that everybody is NICE all the time.

"Or maybe your ferret started it and you just didn't see."

who is this person?!? That's the most absurd amount of nonsense I've ever seen in my life...

Gee Tunes, I don't know how you can look at all those Yahoo! questions....I looked for five minutes and am about to scream! People ask stuff like "my dog is bleeding out its eyes, I don't want to take him to the vet, what should I do?"

It is the cat/dog stuff that really gets me because they are less mysterious than exotics and not as hard to get a vet for.

oh my gosh Tunes, that showed a lot of restraint on your part. I am not sure I could have done it. I mean "the ferret might have started it" what kinda answer is that.:banghead: stupidity that's what that is just plain stupidity.

I answer there because we have gotten a lot of good people here from Yahoo, who I think have benefitted from our forum. Luci is a great addition here, and I think we've helped her with her chin stewardship. I also answer there because the responses they get are just scary. I keep trying to put good information out there, hoping it'll spread, and hoping that they will come here and learn how to better care for their chins.

But yes, ask Becky how much it irritates me. She'll say " Why do you go back there??" Because I feel like if I don't, someone like this will end up with a dead chin.

I thought you did a great job answering her question, and you showed a lot of restraint! People can be so dumb, and then the poor animals have to suffer because of it! I hope she follows your advice and seperates them immediately!

Wow tunes, that just makes me sad. I'm so happy that you are out there patrolling the chinny streets with your no nonsense attitude. Kind of inspires me to do the same, now i have a little more time on the interweb.

omg peggy, i read that question yesterday. i was gonna answer but decided to hold back.

since i answer so many chin questions (and "thumbs up" your answers hehe), i get a lot of them recommended to me. theres someone that i recently added to my contact list that i believe is a member here on the forum but on yahoo she claims shes a breeder...and shes 12. it just boggles me.

and im glad youre still saving people from yahoo answers. please dont stop. i know there are a few other cnh members out there answering too. i get excited when i see the forum listed as a source!

God, Yahoo Answers infuriates me!!! I'm glad there's someone else brave enough to patrol the "pets" section :)) Not to mention you are like 2342358263842 times more experienced than me in chins. Sadly, though, that's usually not necessary since most of the questions are similar to, "i think im gunna get a chinchiller fur my three year old i herd they r like hamsters rite??!?!?1/1/!?!?1/1"

some people have ligitimate questions but most on Yahoo answers are just that "YAHOOS" and they get answers mainly (except for a few like Tunes and Luci ) from other "YAHOOS" seriously if they want straight answers they should just come here. I mean you google the word "chinchilla" and one of the top 10 is chins and hedgies.
