sitting in the parking lot waiting for Suzi. The roads here ARE bad. I have AWD and did a 180 on RT 50 into a snow bank. We are okay...just everyone is running WAY behind due to the roads. Michelle G. is waiting for me to drop of and then I am headed to Delaware. Hoping to be home before 10:30 tonight. Please keep us in your prayers for all of us that finish this RR and also for Rick - as he continues to Florida.

I just spoke to Rick and he is only 20 min. from Savannah, so about 2 and a half hours from me. He is having a bit of car trouble. The van decided to basically shut down. The gas peddle stopped working, and the power to all the lights inside and out (basically everything electric) turned off. He pulled over and let it sit and it is now working again, but the check engine light is still on. If when he gets here he is uncomfortable with driving it further I am going to have him stay in our hotel for the night until he can get in touch with Enterprise in the morning.

Well I'm sitting at the casino in deleware watching the superbowl. So drive safe Jill and take ur time cause I'm fine!

I am home safe! Wow what an adventure! Roads were very bad going to Fredericksburg... had to get around a tree just to get onto the freeway. Once at Sonia's it took a little while to get everything loaded etc and her husband have to shovel some snow just so I could get turned around to head on to Jill. Roads go North were bad as well. I would be going along fine and then *bam* run into a snow patch. I had to drive 25-30 mph for much of my trip. Once I got to Jill, my car got stuck trying to get into the shopping center we were meeting at. Thankfully Jill and two kind strangers were able to push me out and Jill and I made it to a 7-11 to hand off. I saw many cars on the side of the road and one completely upside down and my back and shoulders hurt from holding the steering wheel so hard. But I know I had an Angel riding along with me and the chins to keep us all safe. I am praying for the Angels to stay along with Jill, Michelle G and Michelle H and of course the chins for safe travels.

My girl is wonderful!! I love her to pieces already! She is very friendly, will take pics soon!

Rick made it to Jacksonville. The van is still giving him issues so he is going to stay the night here. He made it here just in time to see the end of the Superbowl and to cheer a bunch when his Saints won.

My trio and I are home safe and sound and all seem to be settling in now. Just had to make a cage adjustment as I did not see a hazard so ofcourse one of them had to try to help with shelf placement. The same one also pulled the first escape act.

I got in around 10. Jill and I parted ways around 8. Some of the even major highways in MD have a very sorry excuse of plowing going on. Keep Michelle H. and Jill in your prayers to get home. I hope they get home before midnight. Some of the Slush hardening though is a good thing as my drive home wasn't as rough as it was getting out.

And the people at Applebees probably think I am nuts "oh just me, I am waiting on an animal transport" "what kind of animal?" "Chinchillas" "ooohhh..."

Hey all...we just got home...carried my 2yr old to bed and my 8yr old is now wide awake. I have to be up at 5 for work....hope Zzz's come quick for me.

Goodnight all...it was quite an adventure. Hope Michelle H signs in after she gets home and her chins & Barb's chins settled in for the night.

i got home around midnight..........my new boys are adorable. so sweet and friendly. they are in their cage with some makeshift items until i can get them settled.

i have barb's 4 girls in my son's room.........one is kinda nasty! she was not a happy camper.

i also have barb's baby from tiffany. he is in my room.

i have to take care of my last 3 boys and then i am taking the baby out for 10 minutes of exercise while i wash my face and relax for a sec.

I just got home after a very long day of driving. After I got home from Petersburg, I had to make a 3.5 hr drive outside of Charlotte, NC to deliver two of my rescues and I'm just getting back home to relax. Now off to make glider food..
