Thursday I noticed Quinn has a red bump on his front right paw. I am not sure what to do. He is acting normal, running and wiggling, but the bump is pushing his first toe slightly to the side. I thought it might be a ingrown hair or something like that, but now I am not so sure. How long do I wait before I take him to the vet? I've been keeping it clean and putting neosporin on it.

If it is still there and hasn't gotten any better, I'd recommend scheduling a veterinary appointment to have it examined by a veterinarian. Hopefully it turns out to be something simple to get rid of.

Quinn went to the vet today. He was so good. He let the vet get a good look at his foot. The vet took a sample of the cells on a slide and said they were all normal cells. He said it looks kind of like a wart. He gave us a cream to put on Quinn's foot. Hopefully the cream will help. If it gets any bigger we are to go back.

Always love the word "normal" when a vet looks at a sample on a slide. I've heard "abnormal" too many times over the year.

Hopefully the cream will make it go away and if it doesn't doc can remove it easily and it will cause Quinn no problems in the future.
