Hello.
I have had my chinchilla for about a month now and he has been doing great. He is the only animal we have ever had and we do not have any other animals in our home. I also clean his cage once a week (he poops A TON) and he takes baths every 3 days.
I noticed while he was laying on his side that one of his legs has a raw spot. It looks like really dry skin and that he has been scratching it. It is not bleeding, but very red and has no hair.
I called the vet and scheduled an appointment--but I want to get any opinions on what it could be? I read that maybe it is stress--but he seems to be doing okay adjusting.
Thank you
