The only fat kit I ever had was born with rolls. They disappeared after a couple of weeks though the little was still pretty big for his age.

Thank you everyone for being so helpful. I would like to ask once again if there is a need for me to give pregnant or mother chinchillas calcium supplements and if so how much and how often? (I feel like no one ever got around to answering that)

I've found I don't need to provide calcium supplements when providing a timothy/alfalfa mix hay cube. I have not had one with white teeth yet, though if it is a litter of four or more, or mom is starting to get skinny I will provide her with additional calories.

Alright, well I do offer free choice timothy hay and free choice alfalfa based pellets to pregnant/mother chinchillas. Is that generally enough calcium for them? What signs besides whitened teeth should I keep my eyes open for a chinchilla with a calcium deficiency?

Yes, quality pellet and hay is generally plenty of calcium. Short of blood tests, I don't know any other way of checking calcium levels in chins other than teeth color. Are you expecting some calcium shortage or something? It's not common. Too much calcium can be a problem too, so I wouldn't go supplementing them if they don't need it.
