It's me again!

Things here have been much calmer, since his last trip to the vet after being attacked by his former cage mate on Friday morning... (First Visit on Friday morning, then on Sat to the emergency vet, and a follow up on Monday with the new WONDERFUL vet) He's still getting 1/4 cc of antibiotics twice a day, which he actually likes!

However there something going on with him that has me a bit confused ...

I can't tell ... because his entire back was shaved.....

Does it just LOOK like he's walking funny because his back is bald now.
Is he doing it because it feels weird & nekked and it's creeping him out?
Or is he hurting still?

*** It's like his lower back is on a low to the floor slinky skateboard when he scampers across the cage. But only when he's moving quickly or turning to look at me. It's ODD! ***

:hmm:

Most of me thinks it's just because I can see the form of his body instead of all that fur???

He's had x-rays, all was good.
There are no healing wounds on his legs or feet.
(just his back and behind his ears, which look great now!)
He is playing, eating, drinking, chewing, pooping, etc etc ... everything else is normal ... FINALLY ... PHEW!

Anyone ever seen anything like this before?
I WISH I could get a picture of it!

Thanks!

~Chris~

I know what you mean. My males fought when I had to move them into the same room as my female, needless to say they had to be seperated, but not before one toew the other up. He also had his lower back shaved(and tuned purple with blukote.) I think it is just the fact that without the fur he appears to have a posture problem. I noticed the same thing, but now that all his fur has grown back he looks completely normal.

Oh I SO hope your right!

The more I watch him, the more I fear there IS something else wrong :cry3:

I've picked up on posture questions surfing this board, like if they're flattening themselves out, or "hunkered down", or Belly Pressing ... It's gotten me all paranoid about painful hidden internal injuries and all those nightmare things! He seems back to normal, but I'm still stressing!

I'm supposed to call the vet to follow up with her via phone tomorrow. I'm gonna have to throw all this at her.

Still crossing my fingers that he just looks like a silly nekked chin!

Here a couple pictures from my cell phone, one is from Monday when he was eating his "balled" critical care, both ears are bent forward because they're pretty badly scabbed.

Poor baby!

try to keep his ears as strait as possible(normal postition) The one that I told you about held them funny and now his ear has grown together in the wrong place. I have to wipe it out all the time because it catches dust and other parifanila(sp?) in it.
