chechinchillas
hmmmmmmm
Below is an email from Maxine at Empress about a possible seminar in November located near or in Columbus, Ohio. She emailed and said I could post this information on here to get feedback and to promote a good turnout:
Hello,
For those of you who do not know me I am the General Manager for
Empress Chinchilla. I have been trying to set up an educational
seminar for chinchilla folks east of the Mississippi as it has been a
while since we have had an educational event in your location.
I have a tentative date of Saturday November 16th set, with a
tentative location area of near Columbus, Ohio.
I am contacting you to see if you would be interested in attending.
If people are interested, I will proceed with arrangements. It is
looking like a one day event with a proposed schedule of events
looking something like the following:
In the AM: Judging seminar (not limited to judges only) with classroom
instruction and hands on looking at animals under the show lights with
the judges (Manual included in price of seminar)
I am looking at a catered lunch at about $8-10 per person
After the judges seminar, presentations would follow on the following topics
Grading for Herd Improvement
Lactobacillus for maintaining herd health
Grooming animals for show
Hydroponics, growing your own supplement for chinchillas
Alternate uses for pelts to generate income
This is not an exclusive list and I would definitely be interested in
hearing for you on other topics you would be interested in.
I am looking at a cost of $25 per ranch for Empress members. Non
Empress members are encouraged to attend at $35 per ranch charge.
Please let me know if this is an event you would consider attending
Thank you
Maxine Lynch
