So I got creative and made a cardboard hidey fort for the girls, they love it! However I am going to have to glue the "second level" down since they both seem to want to be up there and they keep knocking it over. I think I'll have to pick up some more boxes at work!

Is that tape bad for them to ingest? because i was gonna do something like that but when i rip the tape off the box is ruined :(

well I plan to only allow the girls to play with the boxes when I am in the playpen with them, so if they were to chew I would be right there. I was worried about using boxes with clear tape so I chose these that have paper tape.

hehe they look like they're having fun!! - "peek a boo mommy! look at me!!" :p

Their fort looks pretty neat, but I have to admit.. the first thing I noticed when I glanced a the pictures was the super-clean carpet. Seriously though, I've wanted to make something similar but mine would manage to get way to much of the tape, even though I do stay with them whenever they are out for playtime. My girl especially is one sneaky little stealth-speed chin whenever she is doing something she shouldn't be. haha.

hahaha! I am the Queen of vacuuming! I highly recommend the Dyson Animal, I love that thing :D I must admit I vacuum before and after playtime ;)

This girls really aren't into chewing cardboard, they have bitty bagels and critter crunchies in their cage and they don't touch them, they would much rather have apple sticks or a bamboo shredder. So I am not too worried about them chewing, but of course I will always be right there if they decided to test it.

I also might get them the chin maze from www.ForeverFeistyChinchilla.org I was thinking this would be a good test run to see if they liked this type of stuff before I purchase that, good thing about the maze is in can be folded down (from what I understand) but of course, the boxes can not be so they are going to be a pain to store.

Cute Pictures they look like they love the hidey maze!

I think I'm going to have to find some spare boxes now...
That is so awesome and they look they are having a blast.

If anyone is worried about their chins chewing the tape, you can always rip the tape off and use elmers glue to keep them closed.

Those look like A LOT of fun! :)
