playtime scare

Late yesterday evening I let my little guy out for his usual daily playtime in his chin proof area. Everything is normal for the first 10 minutes, he popcorns a little, jumps on and off boxes. Then all of a sudden he stops and starts trembling/light shaking. I gently pick him up (normally he ALWAYS protests, but he just let me) and scritch him for a minute while looking if he hurt himself somehow. Nothing. I place him back on the floor and again he just kinda makes himself really flat and moves very slowly. At this point I am getting really scared, so i gently pick him up again and put him back into his cage, give him a wheaty, which he takes and eats. 5 minutes later he is happily eating and running in his wheel.

The room was 66 degrees and I watched him like a hawk the whole time and I really didn't see him do anything out of the ordinary.

What could that have been?

was he scared? i know a lot of animals start to tremble when their scared.

I would not know why. There was no loud noise, no sudden movement. I thought he maybe hit the floor wrong after a jump and freaked himself out?
