A fleece pad/blanket with two layers of Poly-Fil quilt batting inside (chins can't get to it, it's not a pillowcase style. Just a squishy pad covering the metal cage floor since one of them is getting foot surgery soon) is currently being sewn as we speak. However, is it safe to wash in the washing machine? I use a very gentle detergent and setting when washing fleece, and I air dry. If it is washable, do I do it twice a week as I usually do with liners or more often?
How would I make a washable cushion-y liner for a Ferret Nation half shelf? I have the Poly-Fil and some Sherpa. The cushion-y cage renovations won't last forever, hopefully not longer than a month. Then things will go back to normal.
