I used to feed muzuri and my kits were really under weight but when i switch to oxbow i now have giants and they eat it better, hardly any left in the bowl come morning time.

We used Mazuri for a while a long time ago, and it was like feeding your toddlers fiber. Yes, it's completely healthy for them, but no one would eat it. They'd dig through their bowls and baby weights were low, adults lost weight and eventually mallocluded. If they don't like the taste, they won't eat it no matter how healthy for them it is. I don't like Mueselix (sp?) myself either.

Now we feed PANR and mix it with Vigor Plus which is a "calf-manna"-type supplement, but our chins are breeders not everybody needs to provide a supplement. Oxbow is something we tried too, but the cost savings and how our chins dive into the PANR is what sold us. Baby weights are the best I've ever seen for the last few years and weaning survival is at it's best.

I just started switching to Oxbow because I get it for my rabbits and guinea pigs. Now, rather than making a special trip to Petsmart *just* to get a bag of Mazuri, I can get all of my critter supplies (save the rat food) at the same store :) Also, I think my chin needs to gain some weight. She's very petite anyway, but I think a little more weight couldn't hurt her :)

I feed Mazuri because I can get it cheaply from my feed store, but I've always wondered why Gus wastes so much digging through the pellets when they all look the same to me. Now I know! The wonders of the internet...

Maybe that's why my boys leave so much of their pellets. They're on Mazuri. They're both a healthy weight actually alittle big but they just don't seem to eat much of it. I'll see what the price is at Petsmart, since it's easier for me to go there for my food. I just bought three 5 pound bags of Mazuri yesterday though, so I'll have to finish that.
