Good day,
I need help, please!
I took in a female Chinchilla and she had three babies. She killed the first one by bitting it aggressively.
She later tried to kill one of the other two babies but I stopped her in the process.
I decided it will be best to hand feed the kits. I have a few questions:
* Is it normal for a mom to turn on her babies? I did not touch them accept when I removed the first kit. They are in quite environment, where she had been living for a few months.
* How much ml milk should each kit get, they are two days old.
* What milk can I give them, I am from South Africa and can’t find any supplement milk at the vets.
* Any tips or advice please
I am aware of the cotton rubbing after feeding.
I took in the girl not knowing she is pregnant, I do have a few chinchilla’s but never planned to breed. All my pairs are female with female and males with males.
