Oak and Maple.

I have searched for about a half hour on the site and can't find any definate answers for either, I have an Oak tree and a Maple tree in my yard, I was curious if either one is safe for chinchillas 'cause if they are that means that I don't have to hike into the woods as often.

I wouldn't use either one. As a general rule I use if it's safe for birds, it's safe for chins. Oak is on several no safe lists and maple is listed on some safe lists under the condition that the bark is removed- leaving no point to give it to chins since all they really chew is bark. I have also seen it on unsafe lists so I would not use it.
