Poor girls.....
Thank you for rescuing them, I'm so happy they're with you now! :))

Post the hidey house snuggle pic Tara! That's the best one. :))

You are an awesome person for being willing to take them on. Thank you.
No animal deserves to be kept like they have been.

Welcome to the tripod club! I rescued one and she gets around fine.

Does Tiny have a nub poking out? Mine does and I keep her whole cage lined with fleece so her skin does not get rubbed raw. Their skin seems much more delicate than the pads of their feet!

I'm glad you got them!

Oh my, I am shedding tears for those two: sad tears for the before and happy tears for them now.

They are such lucky girls to be in your care.;)

She does have a little nub! I will post her nub picture. Hope it doesnt offend. My friend Lynn told me the whole cover everything in fleece trick too! I think I will sew some "cases" for the wood ledges too, and maybe add a few layers of batting in it, so it goes over the whole wood ledge to fit... hmmm thinking thinking! LOL

Here is the snuggles picture.

Awww, there's my favourite pic of them. They look so comfy all snuggled up on the fleece blanket. :heart3:

Are they eating lots of pellets and hay? How are their poops?

They are mowing the hay down!:dance3:

They do eat pellets, but I think I will still transition them over to Oxbow, they are on Mazuri, so they were getting a good feed, I just am not sure they like it that much.

I sat and watched them for a while last night, and Tiny is the cage master for sure, she kept hopping all over and running over Sissy. Who just steadily ate her hay. I think Sissy is the submissive one, even though she is much larger, it is cute to watch. I love seeing them snuggle, last night they were up on the pillow ledge cuddled!

Tiny is the cage master, hahaha! My Oscar is smaller than his cage buddy Max and Oscar is definitely the dominant one. Seems size doesn't matter if you want to be a cage master.

Are they still smelly?

They are, Tiny less than Sissy, but I am going out to get baking soda to put in the dust to see if that helps. :D

I just love coming across similar threads where we can see the transition from poor condition to super spoiled and well-cared status. :D

The before and after pics will look like totally different chins. I can't wait to see what some wonderful TLC will do for them.

You and Paul are the bestest chinnie guardian angels out there!!

If you see Tiny trying to scratch with her nub (mine doesn't realize that it's not long enough to reach behind her ear), make sure you scratch for her. She'll love you forever!

Awesome! I can't wait to see what they'll look like once they're better! They already look so much better!

congrats! you're such a guardian angel to take on 2 tripods in need of love! the girls look so happy in your snuggle house photo - you're already working your magic!

I can't wait to see how they look after a few months in your care. Poor Babies... I agree with Peggy but I am sure you already know slow weight gain is much better
