so ive had this bedding for a whole year and its time for some different bedding i was wondering if there is a good bedding that it like wood chips or something that smells good? because my bedding i have is literally like cardboard chopped up and that's it and after 3 days it starts to smell like pee and i was wanting some that gives off a good smell. does anyone know something like this that is safe for chinchillas? thanks in advanced

you could always do fleece liners with a glass baking dish filled with bedding.
i use Aspen bedding since it absorbs better, and i don't smell the wood scent you smell sometimes.

I use aspen too.....for me it seems to smell better the other safe shavings.....I actually prefer the aspen over the care fresh ....and aspen is very cheap

I use an off-brand of Carefresh and I don't notice any odor. The aspen shavings are too pungent for me since Idgie lives in the main area of the house. But they are cheaper.

i love the way carefresh works on odors, but if you see your chin munching on it, you need to take it out.

I use pine shavings without any issues. I tried Care Fresh but my chins thought that it was "snack time" when I put it in the cage.
