I will make this very simple for you, Why are you breeding, its a simple question that needs to be answered and so for you have not done it.

First, they are separated for the time being. Second, none of those issues could have been prevented. Stormy's could have been caught earlier, yes, but many people would not have seen the signs, not just me. I'm tired of getting blame for this, from myself and others, I could not have done anything different.
Read my comments again. I said you have had 3 pregnancies, all of which have ended in problems - show me where I have apportioned blame?
The simple fact is you have an extra-ordinary high rate of kit deaths/birthing issues - you should not be breeding these chinchillas.

Yes Amy that's exactly it :) We didn't do it till the morning for more than one reason 1) it wouldn't be a chin vet operating on her, it would be a person who wasn't familiar with it AT ALL, 2) Yes money is a factor, 3) They would be monitering her very close and if she went downhill we would choose to go one with the surgery that night.

I'm positive we made the correct decision for us, Esperanza, and the surviving kit.

I'm slightly confused when you say that money isn't an issue, but in the above post you did say that yes money is a factor?

And just to make it clear so this isn't misinterpreted, yes I've made mistakes and no me, myself, cannot pay for the vet at this time if/when it was needed, but my parent's and I have an agreement with that.

Where as from what I can tell your parents Mikayla didn't even want to pay for food, I remember your issue with not having food a while back maybe when you first joined, I have a hazy memory so please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't money a serious issue with you?

So I found the thread, I scanned through it but my contacts are drying out so excuse me if I read stuff wrong, in the thread you said that you had a fund for any emergencies, if you have a fund then money shouldn't have been a factor to think about at all, especially when dealing with not only one life but 3? (I believe it was, sorry again my contacts need to be changed)

If you rely on your parents for money, how can you pay a vet bill if they didn't even want to pay for food?

Not meaning to seem rude or jumping on you I'm just genuinely curious?

It is obvious the OP is not going to answer our questions and just wants people to go OOOO and AHHHH and AWWWW how cute your kit is, so if she ignores us perhaps we need to ignore her in her quest for pats on the back.

I wonder if they had done the spay immediatly if the big kit would have been alive? I feel bad for the chinchilla. Labor hurts, its called labor cause it isn't easy...6 unnecessary hours of it is rediculous.

Can a mod please close this thread? If I need anymore help I will contact someone through PM or e-mail. Thanks!

I will close the thread, but keep in mind it is usually better to post your questions in open forum so you can get a wide range of opinions and know if someone's opinion is beneficial or not. You may not like the answer you get, but it may be the best answer. If you're just getting one point of view, it could be biased or plain out wrong and no one will be there to correct it.
