DO you have an in house restraunt? If so coupons for it would be great. We give 20% off coupons for our guests to enjoy.

If you dont maybe have your boss partner up with a neighboring shop or eatery and get coupons to give to the guests. We also do that here where we have an italian place give us free wine if they get repeat business from us. So it will be a win win win.. Win for you your guests and the local places around!

We don't have an in house restaurant, but we do have coupons for local restaurants. We have 35 within walking distance, which is why they didn't put one inside the hotel. We usually only give them out if they request them, so I really like the idea of giving them to everyone who checks in. Thanks!

I'll second the fast check in. After a 10-11 hr drive all I want are my keys, directions on where to find my room, closest spot to park, where to find a luggage cart and a list of local restaurants, and possibly notes next to those open late for late night travelers.

I always have hedgehogs with me when I travel, so my most important item is to get them into the room, in their cages and settled down as fast as possible.

Speaking of luggage carts...where are all those things when you need them?! If someone's not checking for carts being left on the floors & parking lot (cuz you know it happens more times than not) at least hourly (more often during peak check-in/check-out times), they should start immediately! Nothing could tick me off more than having to haul 5 or 6 bags and a half-asleep kid to our room on the 7th or 8th floor (heck, it's even difficult if it's the 1st floor) all by myself without help from a luggage cart.

And having experienced the whole bed bugs thing at a Wyndham Resort Time Share place in Orlando last Spring...for heavens sake, make sure you don't have 'em and do everything you can do to keep from getting them! That was a freakin' nightmare...and yes, Wyndham's still hearing about it from my mom, my brother and his now wife.

And one other thing that appeals to me is a very well lit parking lot, elevators, and stairwells. That's not something to skimp on, in my opinion. Safety! :)

My check-in request would be that for everyone, but ESPECIALLY women travelling alone, PLEASE don't say "You're in room 318" out loud.

I don't like anyone knowing where I'll be. I prefer if they just write it on the case into which they tuck the magnetic card, or circle it on the map if there is one.

I have actually requested a different room when they have announced my room # to the entire lobby. Not trying to be a pain, just being as safety conscious as I can.

It is a Marriott policy that you NEVER say anyone's room # outloud, so no worries there. The absolute most I will ever say out loud is "You are located on ________ floor. The elevator is straight ahead".
