I am picking up my two boys tonight :dance3:

I need names!! I am so terrible at picking them.

One is a standard and one is a beige.

I'd really like some help, if anyone cares to offer up some suggestions!!

My picks are always so dull. :banghead:

Thanks!!

Laurie

I think you should just wait a few days until their personality comes out. Then you will think of something or tell us about them and see if we can help

it took me weeks to come up with a name for my latest. get them home and maybe something will pop in your head. if not post pix and maybe we can help.

I agree, once they're home their personalities will come out and I'm sure you'll pick good names for them. :))

I'm in the same boat. I'm picking up a white mosaic male and a standard grey female on Thursday and have no idea what to call them yet.

The breeder I'm getting them from is interested in helping me breed them (which I'm also interested in) and she's offered to be available to help out if pregnancy does happen.

3 more days...

Wish I could help, but I'm terrible at picking out names too. I let the kids do all the naming around here. Kids have great imaginations so they usually come up with pretty decent names.

I think the best way is to have had your chins for a bit and base a name on their appearance or their personality. I have had a lot of animals and I always wait to name them after I get to know them.

I make a list of names I like with an edge toward color. Then once they come along and i get to see there personality one jumps out at me.

That doesn't always work. I made a list and was really hoping she would be Amelia but she is mos definatly a Pia. That name wasn't even on the list. Get to know them first.

ditto! i just adopted a few and one of them is under a year and i decided to actually change his name! he is a beautiful ebony (i think) black on top, white on bottom, just like an OREO cookie! so that is his new name.
i think once you get them home, see how they act, their coloring, etc... a fabulous name will pop in your head! or just post pix and we can help.

White Belly, Black on top... Sounds like a black velvet to me. Correct me if I'm wrong but I beleive ebonies are solid black including tummies and their fur is shiny.

Nyx is my black velvet. Solid black matte on top and then stark white belly.

Sounds like a black velvet to me too - I tend to name the babies after the first letter of the parents first names...Paddington, Persephone, Poppy and Petunia are all products of Porter and Pandora :)
