It's everyones favorite game "Name That Wood"

Hopefully this game will allow me to properly name all my different kinds of wood so I don't go nuts trying to figure it all out! To be honest they are all starting to look the same!

B- White Willow
C- Ocotillo (And if your guys don't like it, let me know and I'll buy it off of you for mine! They're nuts for it!)
F- Red Willow (I think)
G&H- Mulberry
I- Could be Cottonwood if it's soft (can you make a dent with your finger nail easily? It's a soft wood) or Pecan if it's hard, but I'm going with Cottonwood b/c of how green the bark is.
J- Red Willow
K- Mulberry
L- Apple twigs? Maybe Pear?

lol thxs everyone. I always try and ask ppl to label but it doesnt normally happen. The other boxes of wood I recieved have been labeld :D

I think I have boxes full of apple wood and black rasberry and rasberry.... btw is rasberry ok? lol
I guess a little late to ask that since I already bought tons. But I dont have my chins yet so I havent given any out!

I- soft? I dont have nails but I hit it with my sharpy and it made a mark but its not super "Soft" :hmm:

oh man... I'm in the same boat with you xcoronaangel.

I always try to get boxes of mixed woods to see which one my chin might prefer more... but, in the end, I have to take wild guesses on what is what and then it just becomes mind boggling @_@ The only ones I can really id from my mixed wood boxes is applewood because of the distinct dark and ripply looking bark. I think L might be apple... but it doesn't look as dark as the ones I've received from various sources.

Good luck!

Made a mark like a scratch, or is there a dent? Dent = soft wood unless you really wailed on it with that marker. :)

Ahh its a soft wood then :D (lol @ wailed)

I did buy bags of mixed woods... Im not going to even try naming those. Next I'll make sure whoever I buy wood from labels.

Thxs for the help everyone

PS... so about the rasberry wood... ok? I dont see it listed on the sites for not safe
