My parents suprised me with a puppy for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. He is a Caviler King Charlges Spaniel. He is a total love bug!
We have not had good luck with dogs recently after the death of our rescue. Even the puppy managed to get sick! We didn't realize he was eating grass, we thought he was just playing with it. He was taken to the emergency vet with a blockage:
Luckily he was okay after treatment. Now he is watched like a hawk. The scare with him was to close for comfort. Thank goodness for CareCredit. It saved my puppy's life.
He has already made an nemisis of my poodle. He tried to nurse off of her the first few days, but she is slowly warming up to him. She actually allows him in my bed
Or HER bed. She has slept with me for five years, and will not share with any other dog besides the puppy. The other night she let him lay his head on her, so they are making progress!
