Firstly I would like to apologize for my poor english as I'm from EU.
My 10 year old chin started to have teeth problems 3 weeks ago(grinding,alot of drolling and bad appetite). After I took her to the vet he sedated her and found out that one tooth was too big and already made a little wound on top of her mouth(soft palate). After that tooth was taken care of I had her on antibiotics for 1 week and for 2 weeks she was ok and eating alot.
At the start of this week she started to have the same problems again and when the vet looked at her mouth she had the whole soft palate white.He said that the teeth are ok and this is necrosis and gave me antibiotics(twice a day) and painkillers (once a day) for 14 days.He also said that if this doesn't get better with antibiotics that it's most likely a tumor.
I have to feed her with syringe 4 times a day with a mix of some hay powder mixed with water( in picture) and baby food (fruit or vegetable only). She is very calm and eats well with me feeding her but is grinding her teeth alot when I feed her(not from anger). Her poops are very very small and today I noticed something almost transparent was sticking out her anus ( It was dry and not sticky,smelly).Could be mucus..but why?
It's been 3 days now and today she tried to eat a pellet but couldn't.
Is it ok to be feeding her with baby food and has anyone's chinchilla had anything similar?
I'm sorry for such a long post, I'm just so sad to see her in pain
