Lets put it this way. Any chin can fight. You can have two males caged together in a house that is male only and have them fight. I have 2 adult males (10 years and 10+ years) that have been together for years now. They are in with about 80 other chinchillas. Males, and females in cages next to them. They have a female in the cage directly below them. I have another cage set up of 5 males who are weanlings-few months old. Again they are set up right next to females that are in breeding.
Whenever you have more then one chin in a cage, you need to be prepared for them to fight.
I don't know what fortunatechins is asking these days for rescues...but I know she was asking breeder prices for her rescues back on the old forums. You may be better off doing a craigslist rescue or buying from a reputable breeder then going to her "rescue" if that is still the case. (I think she used to "adopt" chins for $100+ per chin as a rescue back in the day?)
Mish has a black velvet for sale now and is out the state college way, not too far from ohio if you are willing to drive.
