Lucas is adorable! How old is he? Mine is a few months over 2 and I'm hoping he will hang on a bit longer but he is slowing down a lot. Worst thing about a hamster is their short lifespan!

Thanks, he is 7 months old. I got him from a rescue for hammies

He is soooo gentle and once you get him out of his cage, he is a gem to hold!

I could never understand giving up hammies/rats/mice to rescue.. They don't even live that long, and not a long term commitment Good for you for rescuing!

Mr Alfie was a rescue as well. Someone had gotten a hamster and 3 days later it had babies, and they dumped mom and all 13 babies off with the Shelter like an hour from me.

I seen his cute little face (in both cases now) and took them! Mr Alfie has been with me a year now. He is a cute lil skid mark (his back markings earn him that name)

Lucas should be called Romeo, he is a lover!

Thanks Megan, they are cute, and yea, their life is so short they deserve a good one.
