Ok, so its time for a drastic in depth cage cleaning again. Always fun with full double FN's. Along with that i wanted to make two sets of new ledges. The current old ones are far to dirty for my liking. And its been so long i dont even wanna try cleaning them. So i made two full sets for each cage. That way i can periodically take one set out to clean and put the other one in there so they always have ledges up.

Having recently moved to PA, i was sadden to see the supply of hanger bolts in local stores. Lowes (which i always used in NJ) did not even have standard hanger bolts. There's all had a unthreaded (smooth) bar in the center. And Home Depot workers couldn't even find them in the store the first time. When i did get them, the thread disintegrated right off upon use. It was horrible.

I eventually got them else where, but they were sold in a bag off 100. And it was there last one in stock. Needless to say i don't think ill be using quite that many in two cages. And there is no point in keeping that many around with no use, so figured id sell some ledges if anyone needed them.

I can pretty much make them to what ever dimensions you want as long as the wood comes in that size'

Most boards are listed as 6 or 8 inches wide, but there are a few 10" and 12" ones. Tho its worth noting for anyone unfamiliar with wood size that the width is usually half and inch or so smaller then the listed size. So in reality a 6" wide board is really 5.5"

Thats a basic one i made to replace the ones in my cages. 5.5" x 6" (with the width being 5.5 and me wanting the screw side 6 inches, i had to make it 6" long and then use that side for the hardware.

I always use atleast two hanger bolts per ledge. Only one in the center can cause the ledge to start turning/unscrewing to one side when a chin jumps on it. So i use a min of two for safety. Each Hanger bolt uses two 1.5" washers so they fit around 1 inch bar spacing nicely. And uses a wing nut for ease of putting on or off the cage.

PM me or leave a post here with any inquires or sizes you are looking at and ill get you a price.

Woods available: Poplar (what i use for my chins), Aspen, and Selected Pine.

I'm not sure how spread out they are, but I get my hanger bolts from Menard's-I havent even really looked around. They've got tons of different sizes- tiny ones for $0.29 each to huge ones closer to $5 each. Just an FYI for if you ever have to get some again or if anyone else wants to know.
