So glad to hear she is feeling a little better. She sure seems like she has a sweet, spunky attitude!

She's definitely spunky. She was cuddling on my lap last night and every so often, she'd turn around and look at me. When she saw it was me, she'd flop over and close her eyes for about 5 minutes and repeat the process. I joked to Adam that she was checking to make sure she was still sitting on my lap and not his. He sat beside me, we switched her over to his lap and waited - she turned around, saw him and promptly lowered her visor and hissed. She then carefully stepped out of the bag on his lap and crawled onto my lap and hid under my hoody. She definitely sent him a very strongly-worded "hint".

We're not sure why she dislikes him so much... he's never done anything to hurt or scare her. He loves the hedgehogs and plays with them fairly often. I always tell him, "It must be because you enable the vet visits. I'm the one that makes the appointments and gives her medicine, but as far as she's concerned... you're the bad guy for making it possible to get to the vet."

As of 7am this morning, the swelling is 100% gone! She still has tiny little scabs from where the needle took blood and those are a little raised, but all the puffy swelling is gone. She's back on a 100% hard kibble diet (her choice) and puts up a fuss for medicine. She has about 10 more days of antibiotics though, just to make sure the infection is gone... but I'm so happy!

Tonight, she needs a bath. Her face is all sticky. Heh.

Me too! I'm so happy little Kismet is all better! Good on you for catching it early and getting it looked after.

LOL, Kismet definitely wasn't pleased about the vet visit and subsequent exam and antibiotics... but that's okay. She'll get over it. LOL.

On an aside, a friend brought over a miniature Kismet that the full-sized Kismet isn't too sure of. This miniature Kismet is one of those wind up toys that "runs" forward, spins around, and then rolls over. Kismet was sitting on my lap while I was testing this toy out and curiosity got the better of her. She cautiously climbed off my lap, sat on the floor and watched the toy. When it "ran" away, she slowly followed it. When it started spinning around, she backed up, put her visor down and hissed. Her eyes kind of bugged out when it rolled over (Kismet does that when she annoints - it's hilarious). The she looked at me as if to say, "Why you not tell me 'bout this? DO NOT WANT."

Yay!
That's really great to hear!

Yep, her last two doses of medicine are tomorrow and then we'll see if things swell up again or seem to be okay.
