I went into the "chinchilla room" tonight after work and changed the food and water, and put in new hay. I sat down on the floor to 'hang with the boys' for awhile. The little standard came over to the hay and checked it over for awhile. Picked up a piece; holding it kind of like a person would hold corn on the cob; with both 'hands'. Took a bite right out of the center and then tossed the 2 pieces. And then he did it again! And again! It was so funny I started laughing out loud. So then of course he stopped and ran up into his chube. But it was SO cute. Chomp... toss. Chomp... toss. LOL. Just made me laugh.

Haha. I can just imagine that. Yeah, I think chins do the cutest things in regards to their food. The fact they use their paws like we do our hands with their food makes it even cuter.

Watch and see if they drop the ends of their pellets. I find little stubs in their bowl every morning.

My boy was doing that with his pellets. He would eat most of it, then drop the last little piece, pick up a new one, eat that, drop the end part... over and over. I was laughing so hard! Funny boy!

Yep, mine do it, too. I wish there was a way to teach them to eat the whole thing. It would save money o food.
