Ok, well his birthday was yesterday, and as I was loading the pics here, Comcast cable decided to have a "scheduled" maintenance and shut 16,000 people down of internet service without notice :hair: but I'll save that for another thread. Our pug Buddy turned 2 yesterday. He has been a lifesaver for mostly my husband AND our marriage! On his 1st birthday last year, we totally tortured him by making him wear a funky headband, cuz his bday fell on Easter. This year, we just let him dig into his purina ice cream treat.

I've had issues with pictures not appearing in my posts so I'm going to load the same pics this way, :)

Aww! So cute! He looks so happy. What a lovely little dog he is :)

Is that blue cake human or dog? It looks very appetizing to me but then the dog is eating which confuses me slightly, haha.

He is adorable! That face is just precious. Happy birthday Buddy!!

We researched, researched and researched and then we found our Buddy and we've been in love with him since day one, he's a cutie. Thanks guys!

It's a "dog" friendly recipe given to me by a local dog/pet bakery shop (owner is a friend) because I don't bake, and this was my 1st and only attempt at making a cake of any kind, so if it turned out bad, the dog was the only one who could tell and he did not rat me out as you can see by him licking his chops, lol! The second he licked the cake, no one wanted to try it, it was soooo bland, non-dairy and gluten-free but he LOVED it, but he only got a little piece that day, after that we froze it and gave it to him as treats!
;)

Oooh...EXCELLENT IDEA! I want to try one for Lola. Lolas birthdate isn't correct and just assumed (Couple of days different or on the 2nd September :p ) so maybe we could move it back some months? LOL. I want to try it!

That Pet Bakery shop......Sounds like a good idea! Are those common in the US?!

I'll definitely look for the recipe, I know I put it somewhere and I was trying to find it so that I could make it for him again this year and had no luck so that's why he got the "doggy" ice cream, but Purina sells those and I found those in the grocery store freezer section. As far as the Dog/Pet Bakeries, we only have a few around where I live, but where I work, those suburbs have more "trendier" type shops and are more common there. Thanks for asking. :)
