Wow Megan, your horses look great! Handsome is looking so...handsome! Lol. How is he coming along as far as riding?

@ abed, dang, that sucks, you okay? I'm always worried when I'm on Genie because I'm still unsure of her antics. We went for a 'back road' ride this past weekend (only our 2nd) and she spooks at everything! I was so frustrated, I really hope with time she becomes accustomed to everything because it just makes the ride not fun.

Honestly I haven't gotten the trainer out yet this year. PA weather has been crappy, and now that the wedding is in 2 weeks I am just going to wait until after the wedding to start doing much with him. He is thankfully burning a lot of his pent up energy now that he has open pasture to run, so I think that will help where working with him is concerned. Lunging was helping to calm him down, but now he can just let go and run when he wants to as well.

Handsome is also pretty spooky- so I feel you there. Although, from what I read that is typical of a TB. He thinks everything is out to eat him, especially when he is tied.

Oh i am fine, just surprised me, I retired her last summer from a summer camp I worked at for years, and their kids couldn't get her to go at all. This was only the second ride we had been on in over a year and she is being packed with grain and supplements so she just was showing me she is far from too old to ride... Looks like we will have to enter some local shows this summer...

Love that white horse :) Must be hard to keep clean in the spring!!

I actually graduated this May :) Got my AD in Nursing, and as long as I pass my state boards I will have a RN job starting June 22nd at Mayo. I'm pretty excited, but also very nervous for boards! So lately I've been having lots of time to ride and get my horse back in shape. We did a few small jumps yesterday and she was super excited about them, even threw in a couple of little bucks LOL. I love it when her attitude comes out - she is a true mare!
