I received an iTouch for Christmas and I absolutely looooooove it! I actually wish it were an iPhone, so that I don't have to carry my phone in addition to it. It is so useful; I use it everyday for internet/email, taking random notes, playing games to pass the time... And you are able to download tons of different applications for it, and many are free! I have translators, books, and am able to look up movies, restaurants, pretty much anything I need! I don't think I could ever live without it now!

I love it. The only con I can think of is that I can't receive a picture text or send one. I have to email it via my phone instead so it isn't a huge deal but one I think they should deal with since it does literally everything else LOL. I was out in the field one day and had forgotten my compass and sure enough, I had a compass application I could have downloaded on the spot! I have become completely dependent on it - OK, there is another con LOL. Get one, you will love it!

Love my iPhone. Its a phone and an iPod and game consol all in one! Texting is like playing a game, and surfing the net is so easy! I love the weather option.. and youtube... and I mean you can't go wrong! Only con here is that its pretty expensive.

I have a 2nd generation touch and I LOVE IT a friend of mine has the iphone 3g and she is in love with that thing! I have sprint so I can't use an iphone, but honestly....you can do EVERYTHING with it! They're awesome!!!! I don't even really use it for music LOL i just play games, etc.

My brother has an iPhone and he really likes it except how much it costs for a plan to include all the features it has. Plus he "butt dials" people all the time without knowing it.

I have a 2nd gen. itouch. I love watching movies on it and the calendar function on it is great. I organize my whole life on it!!

As for the phone, just remember that you're going to be paying mega bucks for the plan!

I have the iPod touch as well, and wish it was an iPhone! I use Verizon, who will hopefully be introducing it soon. They are pretty awesome! I would recommend going to a store and playing with one first.

Are you being hopeful that Verizon brings the iPhone over, or did you actually hear something about it? Curious since my bf is with AT&T and the one reason he hasn't switched to Verizon is b/c he is contemplating about getting the iPhone or Blackberry Storm.

I just got the Samsung Omnia (Verizon) and I LOVE that phone so far. :)

Strange, I know that the iphone can come out of "sleep" mode if the the button gets bumped but you ALSO have to slide/swipe it on the bottom for it to actually turn on. You can also put a combination lock on it.

I have an Iphone, the only con for me is that I can't live without it :winkers:
I have synced alot of my photos as well as a few seasons of Friends and a couple of movies including movies I made of my kids.

Its a rumor at this point. The Storm is really nice. We had a Verizon store in the Circuit City I worked at and I got the play with the one they sent to train staff a couple weeks before it was released. Texting seemed like it would be easier than the iPhone, since it offers physical feedback. I had a hard time typing on my iPod.

Definitely try before you buy with either of them.

I can't seem to type on any phone that is heat sensitive (iPhone, Storm...), but can easily type on touch sensitive (LG Dare, Samsung Omnia...).

Ive wanted the iPhone but I hate ATT. I have seen friends with it and they LOVE it. I have hear that the screen is glass.(not sure if its just the old one or if the new one has it to) Apparently if you drop the one with a glass screen its not covered under any of the insurances provided with the company or any external insurance companies. I dont know why but thats what I have heard.

So that is the only con I can think of. I totally love that application for the book on that phone. I wish my phone had that!

A protective cover that you can get on eBay cheaply is a MUST for any touch screens. Ricky wants a Voyager, but I know with the condition his enV is in after only a year, it will be trashed.

They won't cover the screen breakage because it is your fault. Unless it is something the phone did, like short out, they won't help you.

iPhone = Super Awesome. Period.
AT&T = SUPER SUCK

And Yes...I have dropped my phone..it's not as delicate as it looks. The metal rim around it is a bit scuffed up, but that's all.

I'm also not sure how you unintentionally dial someone from "sleep" mode.
You have to actually 'wake' it up and then use the 'slider' to unlock it.
When I'm cleaning the house I carry it around in my pocket (no case) with no problems.

I can't vouch for the newer generation iPhone, but I have never had a problem with AT&T. Been with them (and the companies before them) for 16 years now with not a problem one.

Now don't get me started on the older generation iPhone. I STILL have one of those darn things sitting in the box - BRAND NEW! All b/c the first one I got would lock up while it was supposed to be in sleep mode and would drain the battery down so low that when you'd go to use it, it'd be dead and a soft reset was in order, along with a recharge. Ummm...that's not how a phone is supposed to work. So I shipped that sucker back the 1st couple of days I had it. Since it took over 2 weeks to get the replacement, I went and got a Blackberry Curve (that one is since gone now too - I go thru phones like most people go thru underwear) and just put the new one in the drawer when it came in the mail. So I still have that darn thing sitting around here somewhere....tucked way back in a drawer. I wasn't about to go change my plan again to an iPhone plan from a Blackberry plan...good gracious. So now I have a Blackberry Bold and love love love it. :)

Warranty covers shortages and other phone defects. The insurance that you pay for with ATT, T-Mobile, Sprint and Nextel will cover anything. You can run it over with your car after your dog ate it and pooped it out and then the baby peed on it and they will cover it. I asked this will all these companies. You can also purchase with some of the companies insurance from an external company and they will cover everything as well. I have gotten that one as well. And those dont cover glass screens. But will cover plastic ones.

Now depending on the problem with the phone is how the company will process the claim. If its a shortage or electrical problem they will cover it under the 1 year warranty(if its in the first year) and send you a new one. The other damages will be covered under insurance which most of the time you have to pay a deductable depending on the type of phone you have.

Again.. Glass screens are not covered under warranty or insurance.

I have accidentally dialed but it wasn't in sleep mode LOL. That would be a feat. It is easy to do if you are carrying it and 100 other items when it isn't in sleep mode though, ask my sister :).
