I really want to get a 3G/wifi iPad but I like the size of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab. Does anyone own one and if you do, how do you like it?

I personally like the sounds of the new tablet with the honeycomb operating system. Although it has yet to be released. I also am just not an apple fan as everyone seems to start acting like they are in a cult if they have more than just an ipod. It kind of creeps me lol.

Sandi!! I said the same thing.........i love the ipod touch but i feel like the ipad is a bit too big. a coworker forwarded me a link to check out the galaxy.....it looks pretty cool.

I don't own one.. but I just returned from Korea recently (where the newest technology is all the rage) and although the iPad is popular, the Galaxy Tab is even more so.. One of my friends there owns one and she totally loves it.

There are so many more accessories for the iPad but I really like the feel and size of the Galaxy tab. I went to the ATT store to feel both of them out and am still debating which one to get. :thinking2:

I think either one of them is ridiculous. For a couple hundred dollars more you can have a heck of a laptop. I just can't fathom the need to have every gadget that comes out on the market like this. Then again, I'm poor.

Aw Peggy, say it ain't so !!! I've got a great laptop but I want a little more portable, hence the 3G, and BIGGER than the iPhone. It's a birthday present from my boss (maybe the last one too).

I didn't want the iPad because I had the iPhone but I'm aging and need bigger print! I love my laptop too but it doesn't have 3G and I know I could just get an air card for it but I'm scared of too much wear and tear on it. I swear I dropped it once already and bumped it hard quite a few times. I have too much expensive software from work on it and I don't want to kill it because I'm a huge clutz!

My husband is thinking about the Elocity Tablet. A friend of his has it and says its wonderful. Has anyone heard of this one? He mainly needs it for work- doesn't play games, FaceBook or anything like that.

I use mine every day - much more handy than my laptop or a notebook - instantly on, super fast, 3G ..... worth it for work & play IMHO.
Not bad coming from someone who hated Apple stuff a year ago. :wacko:

Jealous! Several people in my classes have iPads and they just seem so nifty. They all have had nothing but good things to say about them. I think they make this pen where you can actually write notes on it. I love all my Apple gear, so I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I read books on mine. You can do a lot with it, and it's lightweight and easy to carry.

So glad I'm not back at work yet as I've been customizing it and playing with it on and off for the past 24 hours :wacko:. I don't regret my decision to get the iPad one bit. Definitely needed the extra 2 inches for the viewing screen over the Galaxy Tab.
