Introducing my new baby! (color??)

Hello! Finally I'm on a computer and can put pictures on! This is my new baby...sorry there are only a few for now.

Do any of you know what color he is?

I'm going to say a light beige.

She looks like she was just dusted. I'm guessing a light beige as well but pictures in better lighting when she isn't so dusty would help.

When I got him he was super dirty. Oily and everything...he has been getting a ton of baths but playtime is before a bath time, so the dust wasn't freshly on him.

He's kinda silver. His underhair(is that even a word?) is very light. He does have a tint of red in his eyes. His belly is about the same color as the rest of him...maybe a tad lighter. He has a hint of beige, but mostly silver. Ill try to put more pics on soon(have to be on a comp&I don't have the internet,just on my phone) the fluffier he gets the more silver he gets. I wasn't familiar w this color...obviously

He could be a light tan, but either way he is a beige variety.

About his color, someone said he may be a beige/violet-pearl? Are any of you familliar w that color? Does he look like that?

If you've any idea of his lineage and printed it, we might be able to determine if that's possible.
I personally not seen one, but I understand a beige - violet is somewhat unique.
If you bought from a breeder, you may have, or could get a pedigree, but if he's from a petshop, you're probably out of luck.
No matter what, he's a cutie - keep posting pictures!!

I have seen beige violets. He doesn't look like one to me I would guess a light beige or light tan maybe even **** beige.

I got this one from a terrible local petshop. I've seen too many babies grow up in the tiny cage and he was in there with 2 others that were bigger and he just looked hopeless. I put my hand in to pet him and he just stepped into my hand and didn't move like 'please take me home'...so I did. The others were jumpin all over him and he just sat there. He needed his own food and water and some love. Now he's jumpin all over the place! He hasn't met his brothers yet. I've only had him for a little over a week.

He doesn't have a name yet. I have a 60's/70's music theme w the other 3...so I kinda want to name him Hendrix,(my sister loves Henry)..so it's close. And someone else said Theodore...like the chipmunks...because I do have a Simon (as in Simon& Garfunkel) but I guess it could be Simon as in Simon, Theodore & Alvan. I also like Seger. This is hard!

We have been emailing back and forth and I told her I thought he was a beige, possibly a **** beige. Then she thought maybe he was a tan because she saw a dark tan that looked like him, and I said no, he's not a dark tan. She wondered if he would darken up to be a dark tan and I said no - he has none of the characteristics of a tan that is going to darken up. If anything, it's possible he's a pastel, but the belly isn't the same color as the back. Tara thought maybe a beige/violet (don't know where the pearl came from?) but after looking at the pictures over and over, I still think he's just a beige or **** beige.

Peggy, a "Pearl" is what they call a beige violet in the UK. Same thing.

Definitely not a dark tan. He's adorable but his color is nothing new or unique which isn't a bad thing at all. If his belly is white then he's a beige or **** beige. I don't see any "violet" tint to suggest a beige violet.

I wish I knew what his parents were. But I don't.

His belly isn't white. It is just a bit lighter than his body...thats what is throwing me off when I read discriptions online. It says a beige has a white belly. I don't care what he is...I just would like to know...if that's possible! Haha

I've looked up the beige/violet online and I don't think he really looks like that...or a beige. He doesn't really look like anything. That's why I ask.

Ah - Had not heard of pearl before in reference to chin color. Interesting.

Theodore is a cute name.

He is definitely a beige. There's no way around that. Whether he has another color mixed in there, like light eb isn't apparent from the pictures. If the belly is not white then he has eb in there. Since he's still so young and small, his belly could turn white with age.

A tan or pastel just means the chin has beige and ebony. A beige violet/pearl just means the chin has beige and violet. A **** beige just means there's two beige genes. To simplify things, I'd just call him a beige for now. As he gets older his color should become more apparent...he doesn't even have his adult fur yet.

When I looked up 'beige/violet' it said another name was 'pearl' so I went with it. There are some really pretty chins out there! I still think the mosaics are my favorite though.

Thanks ill have to keep thinkin about names...but so far thodore is tied w hendrix. I think!
