I'm going to need a carrier for my Easter. She is 3 months old tomorrow. Is there a particular size or brand that is well recommendend that isn't too pricey? Thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated!

I use a cloth one that I got at a pet supply place. The ends zip open and it has mesh on the sides. It has worked great for vet trips!

I just went to the small dog carrier section at petsmart and bought one that was 19.99$?
I couldn't put my chins in a cloth carrier..they'd be through it in no time..lol

This is the kind iv used for the last several years. Seems to work jsut fine. (Tho a newborn kit can fit right through the bars on the front. Then again, they can fit through almsot everything, so iv found out)

Not too many people will recommend a cloth carrier due to the ability to chew out of them. Most with just 1 or 2 chins use the plastic dog/cat carriers that you can buy in a pet store, or you can order metal ones from vendors online such as Martins Cages, Bass Equipment, or Ryerson Chinchillas. They sell carriers for just 1 animal and carriers for multiple animals.

I had the zippers on two of those cloth carriers break, so I switched to a dog carrier as well. I opted for this one, though I had to wrap the cushion with anti-pill fleece. I used it for a kit for 3 months without any issues. I've since used it on all of my guys and they definitely can't escape... much to their dismay!

Could you picture having to toss a chin in a cloth carrier for an emergency..and having the zipper get stuck? ohhhh man! Another reason I'd be afraid of them lol

That's exactly what happened with the second one! As soon as she realized what was happening, she started nosing her way through the opening as I kept trying to block her with my free hand. It would've made a great YouTube video. *lol*

Thank you all for all of your help and opinions! I greatly appreciate it! Unfortunately for me, I need it sooner rather than later and I can't be too picky so it's going to have to be store bought. I just need it more for transportation but would like to purchase one that I can use in the long run so it will be worth my money. Thanks again everyone!
