Courtney
... and the Dynamic Duo!
Claire - this vet is actually touch and go when it comes to my hogs, depending on the vet I see. The last vet I saw at this practice managed to get bitten by Kismet, who NEVER bites. She tried to manually uncurl her by gripping her visor quills and then working a finger into her belly. The vet apparently specialized in small animals, so I was very hesitant to take her back. It was, however, the only vet with an opening that day, so I decided to try my luck.
Shetland - if you hug them, I'm checking your pockets before you leave!
Debbie - I HOPE that's what Cuda is thinking. He's actually fairly upset right now because he's used to a set schedule and the medicine rotation is messing that up. He's used to me getting up at 6:30 and then turning the lights off for good around 10pm. With the girls on medicine, I'm up at 6am and then I turn the light on again at 11pm and midnight to medicate. Since the rest of the house is kept cooler, I'm trying not to take the ill hogs out of my room. They're both prone to hibernation, and that's one problem I just don't want to deal with right now. Luckily for Cuda, the schedule will be changing back to something more in tune with what he prefers - I'm cutting out Kismet's middle dose of Sulcrate (per the vet's recommendation) and she's off Metacam. I'm going to move her evening dose to 6pm and 7pm, which is exactly 12 hours from her morning dose.
