I have been MIA for a while due to computer issues. I hope everything is alright.

Surgery done! I feel pretty good, the sugery incision hurts a little, but no nerve pain yet, and I am praying and praying that it does not come back! The needle they put in first was pretty scary, not as painful as I thought but just creepy having a piece of wire hanging out of you for a few hours before they do surgery! Plus they had to do a mamogram with the wire in there, with no pain meds and that was not so pleasant. More creepy than anything, and the staff was SO nice it was very calming. So much better than my last hospital experience. That really makes all the difference too.

Anyway, the surgery itself went quickly, and the surgeon said it looks very benign and that I have extremely dense breasts with no fat (Laurie cheese curds and fudge needed! haha) that are hard to see, so a mamogram is really not very helpful. They ended up doing an ultrasound guided wire instead of with the mamogram, since they just don't have much to work with. Ha. They did not have to cut me too much and the scar looks pretty small around the nipple, although I can't see much with the dressing.

I am resting while Damian gets my pain med prescription filled and a Publix boar's head meat sub since that is what I am craving! Please pray that the pain does not come back, and that this is the last of my pain. Thank you all so much for being here, I cannot tell you how much it means to me to have you here always with kind words.

Glad to hear it went well! Wishing you a very speedy recovery and that this does not return!

Yay! Glad it went well. And I'll ply you with cheese curds and Tremlay's fudge hopefully this summer! I TOLD you you needed to fatten up LOL!

Glad it went well, Ms. fat free!! Hope that's as far as it got, and you're all done! Get well soon so you can open things that're on the way!!

Ha I never said EVERYTHING was fat free, just the parts where you want fat! I do have a little booty! :neener: It is kind of like those bald men with super hairy backs and arms. Just a slap in the face!

My shoulder really hurts today and I have a fat lip! I don't even want to know what they did in my sleep, ha, I think I must have mouthed off or something? I am guessing it was the breating tube for the lip, that is so creepy to think about thankfully you are not awake for that part. But I still can't figure out why my shoulder would hurt so bad, but I suppose all those chest/shoulder muscles are connected, huh?

The funniest thing about the wire was that is was the exact same wire we use to fix chin cages and make toys! I was telling that to the anesethisologist before I went to sleep, she probably thought I was nuts.

I haven't been on really much in a while but I am glad to hear everything is going well. At least you got out of this whole thing is that you need to eat some more. I wish I had a reason to fatten up.

OMG that's hilarious, (pictures beads and applewood sticks on it!)
Go ahead, take some pain pills. You are supposed to rest for awhile. You know it might help, if the surgery pain gets too bad maybe it could trigger the other pain that you don't want coming back IDK? So take a pain pill and lay down for a while OK?

I know, I honestly thought about that while I was sitting there for 2 hours with it in me. I thought- hmm, what a great way for me to get the chins to like me! Become a human chew toy!

Since I am up at 3 am on Saturday night for no good reason except pain, I think I will follow that advice and take a pain pill and get some rest. Thanks everyone! (and still no nerve pain!)

Well, "alright"! You got it done....and get well soon! That is super funny about the wire..made me laugh! You probably did sound silly talking about the wire as they're putting you under. Did you see how many people are posting on your thread!! That's how much we all really care and wish you good health!!
P.S. And, start downin' some shakes--that'll do it for ya!! hehe

Well, update, again! I had the worst luck ever and the first thing I ate after surgery (A Publix sub) I got Salmonella poisoning! Can you believe it? So I was so nauseous and so dehydrated the doctor gave me IV fluids and some anti nausea meds, which helped a little. I finally barely made it back to work on Wednesday, and I mean barely. Thank goodness for a super nice doctor who listens and actually cares, and actually sees me at 8 am before work. Great guy.

Anyway, I am getting better now, finally, and healing well. I am still very impatiently waiting for the results from the lump, so that is the worst part right now.

Update

Wish me luck, I am going to the surgeon tomorrow for my results! I have some pain but nothing like before. The surgeon thinks it is costochondritis caused by either my car accident, coughing, or the surgery or all 3. I am hoping that is true because it is not that serious, just painful. Any pain at all in the breast area gets me very scared with so many loved ones dealing with breast cancer.
