Hello!
I have posted on here before and want to be way more active because my two chin boys are my life and I want to be way more involved!!
With that being said, I would like some advice on other chin owners on an issue. I know each chinchilla has their own unique personality but my silver mosaic is almost IMPOSSIBLE to read...
Freddie is my 6 year old standard gray. Loves to be held, pet, and just loves anyone and anything. He is the most relaxed chinchilla I have ever encountered. Even with strangers, anyone can go in the cage and pet him, he loves it! During play time he never leaves my side and I simply adore him...
Wolfie on the other hand, my 3 year old silver mosaic is different... he is a lot bigger then Freddie and a lot more, how can I say this... not relaxed? Hahahah He will let you pet him when he feels like it and loves his play time but in the cage he seems so uneasy. Their cage is HUGE and since I work at a petstore they have a wide variety of toys ranging from the lava block, wood chews, and tons of parrot hanging toys. (Don't worry, they are all chinchilla proof with no chains they can fit their little paws in to get hurt!!)
One day Wolfie comes right up to the cage and will glady put his nose up to mine and love me, other days he is angry and just chews at the bars. But lately, I have been noticing him doing it because he gets attention from me by me going up to the cage and telling him no. He likes it hahah but because of this Freddie is watching and he does it in the corner softly, it is kinda funny when he does it.
I really just want to be able to read Wolfie more... does he like me or what.
I know Freddie trusts me as he nibbles on me and during play time grabs my shirt and yanks on it until I pick him up.
