Laurie--I understand what you mean. But Chloe was 600g at one point and she feels a bit underweight to me. Her bones aren't sticking out or anything but there is a little less padding now on her. Admittedly, she was on Mazuri when she was her heaviest so maybe her ideal weight is a little less than 600 but I think she felt good around 580/570.

She's just kind of waking up now or is having a spurt of energy at the moment so I'll see if she gets to her bowl at some point. I think I will probably just go to the vet tomorrow since I've been having issues with her losing weight before this and I think it would be best if she was just seen and got it over with.

I'm watching her face stuffed in her food bowl eating her pellets as I type. Who's hungry now?!?!

I would guess she was gassy and now its gone, it happens out of the blue. I would not stress her with a vet visit tomorrow if she keeps eating tonight and food is missing and poo-is-a-plenty! Since she is eating and the feed flavor itself was not a issue, I would keep her diet simple and steady, let her digestive tract calm down.

UPDATE: Yep, she's eating alright. And pooping. She actually eats from both bowls now that I used one of her treat bowls as a pellet bowl to get her to eat. Maybe I'll keep it as a pellet bowl. I ordered some Essentials for Life last friday or thursday when I ran out of lifeline and got it today. I knew I would probably get it when she wasn't being syringe fed anymore but I wanted to try it out, see if she likes it since it is cheaper than lifeline and I've heard good things about it. It came with a package of her broad spectrum supplement (I hope it was meant to be in there, it's a LOT for a sample, because I totally don't want to give it back!!!). I'll see if she likes that when her stomach settles down, which she probably will since she loves every ingredient on there that she's eaten.

I tried to weigh her today. As far as I could tell she is pretty much the same (535-540), before she jumped away, and ran into the kitchen...good thing we always keep the space under our gas stove blocked all the time!! Chinchilla+pilot light=bad. Hopefully, she gains some weight. She is eating enough that she should be soon.

Here's some pics I just snapped. She pooed as I was taking the pictures, so there's a mini pile going on underneath her on some of them.

That's great news Caiti and those look like some good poops underneath her. Yes, Tanya gives awesome sized samples  she's the best! I just sent her a note thanking her for my sample and a few other things as well. The broad spectrum supplement is very good, all of my boys devour it.

Sandi--Wow, I guess that was a sample. Ok, so...Tanya's officially awesome in my book (although she was before because she gave a great response to a question about vitamins and minerals I posted).

I just wanted to thank everyone who replied or pm'ed me with advice and for literally talking (or typing...) me through what probably wasn't a life or death senario but could have become and felt like one to me, being a newb. Now I know, I guess. Anyways--I super appreciate it and I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
:grouphug:

That may be the first time I've used an emoticon. I may have used one by accident a while ago but I forget. They scare me, so...ya know--that's kinda big coming from me. By the way there are some weird ones in there (ok, there's one with two smilies just throwing up on eachother. Repeatedly. I mean, that's all they're doing...)

Glad to hear your baby is getting back on track. I also agree about Tanya!! She rocks. I love the essentials for life, well richie does. But I still love my lifeline too. Also fuzzieskingdom makes awesome fleece items.
Keep doing what your doing. And never be afraid to ask questions. This group has helped me thru many a problem. Awesome people, great advice!
