How Much Dust?

We just got our chins on Thursday! We've enjoyed getting to see their different personalities and quirks. We recently gave them their first dust baths. I was looking at a lot of different sources for how much dust to use, and I found a lot of very different answers. How much dust do you all put in the dust house when it's bath time?

I normally put in abut enough to cover the floor of the dust house in about 1/2 inch of blue cloud dust. I've seen people use WAY more, but that seems to be more than enough for my guys.

I've never really measured, I just eyeball it. I would say around half a cup if I had to guess.

A couple tablespoons to maybe 1/4 cup works fine. As long as there is enough in there for the chins to get enough worked into their fur, it doesn't matter much. You can use it sparingly if you like or add more, it's up to you. Some people will use just a small amount because they have chins insist on urinating in the dust and they don't want to have to throw out too much each time.

i usually use between one and half - 1/8 cups too two full 1/8 cups. I like to make sure my chin has enough to cover themselves without have to rly work at it.

Depends on the dust container but I like 1/2" on the bottom if they aren't show chins. If they end peeing in their dust, reduce the amount of time they dust, less than 2-3 minutes once a week usually suffices and keeps them out of mischief.
