At the time I voted 5, but I have 6 males currently.

I have 1 now but am going through the process of adopting another from a rescue

I'm glad I'm not the only one here to want 1 chinchilla.. I've been bashed for wanting only one. Some people think a chin can't live a long healthy life without a buddy... I think they can be just fine, as long as you give them daily interaction and lots of things to do. Heck, some chin buddies never work out and need to be separated anyway...
