I am home from the hospital today! Yay! I had the most wonderful excellent care--and it was scary because last year when my mom was in on the same floor she received horrible care. I had very attententive nurses as medical assistants--each shift it was always someone just as great as the last.

I didn't sleep at all on Wednesday! lol! They were surprised to come in and always see me awake, but I told them I'm normally a daytime sleeper.

I did sleep last night from 10pm all the way til 6am so that was good. Lynelle was with me both days as my dad is doing great! He's up and walking and everything and already got the okay to drive from the doctor!

I am very sore--they had to remove my hostile uterus abdominally instead of vaginally--stupid thing! When I woke up in recovery and they told me I had to be cut open I asked if my uterus was around because I wanted to kick the crap out of it--but no such luck!

Since Lynelle and Chris took such great care of me I'm having them over for sour cream chicken enchiladas and a nurse friend of mine suggested I make a hostile uterus pinata we can smack around! NOW that is a great idea!

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes! I'm going to need someone to chat with me in chat now that I'm going to be off for awhile!

I'm glad you're okay! We've been thinking about you constantly. :)

The pinata isn't made out of a real uterus, right? Because if it was, that would be gross. :p (That will make Laurie laugh, for any of you wondering why I would ask such a question.)

I'm new here but I just wanted to say happy to hear the good news! I seem to have nothing but bad luck with nurses so it's great to hear this!

YAY!! Great news. We are all so happy to have you back. Make sure you get plently of rest.

Susan that question made me laugh.

Yay! Glad everything went well and feel better soon. And that's great you got good nurses, that makes such a huge difference. I've had some crappy ones myself and it makes me even more determined to be an even better nurse.

Glad you are doing okay Laurie! Hang in there and get tons of rest...

I don't see any get well soon smilies, so here is some dancing fruit to entertain you...

:banana::apple::banana:

Glad you are home and doing well! Yes, lots happening on the frontier. It took me hours last night to sort it all out. :p I'm sure that will keep you nice and busy during your time at home!

yay your back! I'm glad things went ok. Would have been a heck of a lot better if you uterus would cooperate and exit the right way but it doesn't sound it follows directions much. lol. Fast and speedy recovery!

WOO HOO, Laurie!!! I'm glad that you're out and OK!!!

I second the angry uterus pinata -- you're talking to the girl that insisted that her OB take pictures of hers, fibroids and all (sorry squeamish ones if TMI!!!) to see what had caused her such misery for so long!!!

Remember, you only get one chance to recover properly, so DON'T BLOW IT by overdoing it too much. Allow people to help you -- they want to, silly!!! Get your rest and let your body use ALL your energy for healing.

Best wishes to both you and your Dad.

Yay, Laurie, you are quite the trooper! So glad you are back at home again and are on the mend. We love you and need you to be totally healthy again!!!
