Just wanted to say hello and thank everyone for all the experience being shared here. My boyfriend and I took the leap from rats, gerbils and hamsters to a chinchilla about a month ago, and these forums have been awesome in helping us figure out what not to worry about (first time she laid on her side i panic'd) and what to keep an eye on (the glass aquarium the pet store said was fine, was, in fact, not). I have big plans on getting some pictures of her up here, I've never seen something look so adorable while bouncing off walls and jumping onto shoulders xD
