Help! Two sick chinchillas.

My chinchilla #2 is recovering very well. His poop is back to normal and he is eating hay like crazy. I started giving his pellets back to him last night and he has been happily munching on that as well. I need to keep a close eye on him and monitor his poop and food/water intake still. I hope he is really recovering and not just hiding his sickness.

Chinchilla #3's poop is still soft He is getting his appetite back though and is starting to munch on hay more.

I have noticed that when my chinchillas are sick, they tend to eat more of their poop. Is that ok? and is that normal?

I'm glad that #2 is doing better. I hope he continues to improve.

Are you still giving #3 burnt toast or shredded wheat to help firm up his poops? I know it's normal for them to eat them but not if it is normal to eat more when they are sick..
