Hello, I am a chinchilla owner & own just one male chinchilla named Stickshift.
I purchased him at a pet store (Petco) when he was just 1 1/2 years old. He is now 5 years old.

I wanted to join so I can get more tips & share some of my own.
But mostly find out ways to stop my little guy from chewing his fur.

I'm also a photographer & sometimes my little Stickshift models for me:

I picked Stickshift as I wanted a unique name for him. It took me a while to think of a name before getting him but once I saw him. . .that name just popped in my head. ahaha.

He also has a middle name that my father gave him which is Gizmo.
He reminds my father of the movie gremlins since they can't get wet xD
