My name is Wendy. I currently have 3 chins: Chester, Zoe, and Zoe's baby. We got Chester a year ago and he is Mama's little guy. Fairly affectionate, cuddles, loves to interact. Zoe is a rescue we took home in July (her caretaker wanted to make her into earmuffs for his wife!). She loves attention but on her terms only. She HATES to come out of her cage, but always comes to the front of the cage when we are anywhere near it to be talked to and sometimes scritched. She had a hard life before we brought her to our home, so we are patient with her and are trying to socialize her as much as she will let us. Little did we know, she was pregnant when we brought her home. She bore a single kit (her second) on 9/09/2010. He's a feisty male.
We are looking for a good home for the baby. We do not have the room for him, nor do we want to be a three chinchilla family. We keep Chester & Zoe separated--4 feet separated--because we do not want to be breeders. We do not want to bring him to a pet store, we would prefer he go to someone that has experience with chins if possible.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning from all of you and I hope to make some new friends!
