Healing a Chin Cut

My chin got a cut on his foot, im not at all sure how but it healed up nicely but i think he picks the scab and every so often he leaves a few bloody paw prints. he never limps and runs around just as much as ever but i just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for keeping him from picking or helping heal the cut.
