So I've been buying hay from rabbitholehay.com and it's good hay that my chin loves. But I recently ordered a batch of 2nd cut timothy hay and it came looking very much like 3rd cut. :/ I contacted customer service and they said sometimes a batch of 2nd cut can be more like that. My chin, Mr. B, loooooves 3rd cut, he'll eat the stems too which he normally avoids in 2nd cut because he's picky!
So the upside is he is gobbling up this "2nd cut timothy" because it's pretty much like 3rd cut.. the downside is I'm wondering if it's gonna be too rich for him? He had cloudy urine once a few weeks ago so I'm worried about maybe 3rd cut timothy causing that. I've never seen him eat this much hay in such a short amount of time!
Should I just get another bag of 2nd cut timothy and toss this one? :/
